WHO AM I

My story begins long time ago, when I start investigating arts with the beautiful forms, shapes, colors, textures… In the process of exploring and re-examining boundaries between fine art and fashion, I find myself as someone who can always live there among.

In present time, when fashion becomes product, an item just for fun, I am still working to put personal emotion, love and passion in all of my designs. Clothes made with love and passion, signifies something that you can love, appreciate and something that can become part of you and your character. Meaning that after few months later, you can put it on again in a different way with all the things that were growing with you, and again, that piece of love becomes recognizable part of you as an individual, of you as a character and it is a part of your persona.

My brand Charlie is established in 1994, in Skopje, Macedonia, and has been devoted part of the European market for more than 20 years. Charlie exemplifies a creative way of discovering new artistic forms and shapes, visual expression, together with the new techniques in fashion design as constant inspiration and challenge for new projects. In a position of creative director and head designer, expert and educator, accompanied distinguishable brand, I have worked on many different projects in the field of design. As a vision of art in fashion and endless creativity impulse, Charlie embodies many designs, fashion shows, exhibitions, events, participation in a different projects such as:

The story of Charlie now has continued on another continent, in Dubai, UAE, where the inspiration in art, fashion, glamour and architecture are limitless and very challenging. Here design becomes endless field of uniqueness and creativity.
I believe that fashion can be magical when people can fill emotions, love and passion. Then it all becomes personal and really originates from the heart, together with the real story that lays behind every design.

While giving my heart filled with love, I belong to those people who do not want fast products, something that represents an object that you can get read off right after you are bored with. Clothes made with love and passion, signifies something that you can love, appreciate and something that can become part of you and your character. Meaning that after few months later, you can put it on again in a different way with all the things that were growing with you, and again, that piece of love becomes recognizable part of you as an individual, of you as a character and it is a part of your persona.

PROJECTS

Reflection (Haute couture collection)

The collection “REFLECTION” is made in order to encourage critical thinking about the treatment of fashion design and fine art, and in the same time to prove that the works of fashion design can represent unique sculptures having valuable features such as works of fine art. The purpose of creating this collection is to encourage the public awareness of reassessing their actions as a consumer, and to be a reminder of how our actions are reflected in the treatment of fashion design and fine arts.

The design of the models symbolize various three-dimensional sculptures with surreal forms, which have the task to visually communicate with the observer and the environment, same as to encourage intellectual activity. In order to prove through a practical example that fashion design is a fine art, and at the same time to “reach” the criteria of high fashion, various categories of fine art are used in the creative process. Surreal forms are sculptured in the “partial” construction of the model, and visualized in text, lips and eyes, symbolizing vision and speech, as an interactive call to the viewer to reconsider whether what he sees is “Deformed” or a realistic picture in the “reflection of the mirror”.

ID (Ready to wear collection – editorial)

The concept of the ID collection is reaction and logical answer of consistency and stereotype of fast fashion, impersonation of identity in to the modern society and pretending that you are someone else. The main symbol of the collection is a fingerprint, element that could not change, and something that is unique confirmation of who we are as an individual. The fingerprint in this collection is translated in many ways: as form in the construction of the designs, as texture, as structure, as color… The collection is made of natural fabrics, silk, cotton, linen and consists designs with contrasts in forms and colors. The main inspiration for this collection started from the idea of encourage the expression of the true values and the real beauty of the individual as a character. This collection is designed for male and female figures who stand out from the mass of uniformity, expressing their uniqueness, and yet they are part of their urban environment with their own visible ID.
